Walking with Moms in Need is part of a national ministry through which St.Thomas the Apostle parish "walks in the shoes" of Tucson area pregnant and parenting women in need. It is our mission to help moms in difficult circumstances....both practically and spiritually. While our parish is not a pregnancy center, it can support local pregnancy centers and find and share other resources with pregnant and parenting women. When there are few local resources, we have worked diligently to create our own, based on the time, treasure and talents of our parish community!
Our parish ministry is hosting its first donation drive - in the summer months - as requested by our worthy recipient, Hands of Hope. From June 6 to 21 - you'll find a staged setup in the church narthex featuring a crib, poster with requested donated items and WWMIN ministry banner.
There are two ways to donate. Those interested may purchase items on the Hands of Hope 'wish/need' list and return the items to the narthex and place them in the crib not later than June 21. OR, if you prefer the online option, simply click the AMAZON DIRECT ORDER link to the St. Thomas the Apostle/Hands of Hope registry created specifically for this drive...and populated with items specifically requested. Simple and direct. Your items will be delivered by Amazon directly to the Hands of Hope office at the conclusion of the drive.
