Erin earned a dual degree in applied mathematics and management studies from Rice University just as the computer craze was emerging. She was hired as a software engineer though she admits she barely knew what software was! The company's logic? “Because we can teach computers, we can’t teach logical thinking.” For 15 years, she worked in the aerospace industry and watched the computer field explode.
Erin's second "act" was as full-time mom and volunteer, She spent many years as a Scout Leader (both girls and boys), FFO member, assistant soccer coach, team mom and more.
When the opportunity arose to work on Parish bulletins for St. Thomas the Apostle, she grabbed it as she very much enjoyed the creative challenge. Later, she began working for St. Thomas full-time.
In addition to all her administrative responsibilities, she now handles facility planning as well as assists parishioners and their families with the planning of funerals, weddings and baptisms.
