Fr. Carlos Nagore was a seminarian for the Diocese of Tucson in formation to become a Catholic priest until his ordination on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at St. Augustine Cathedral.
He was born in Tucson, AZ July 2, 1998 and attended Bonillas Elementary School, Dodge Middle School and Tucson High School where he graduated in the spring of 2016. He then went to Pima Community College for one year before deciding to enter Seminary.
Deacon's home parish is Our Lady of Fatima in Tucson. He began discerning priesthood while a junior in high school. There he was active in Life Teen group, was an altar server, and also a religious education teacher.
At 19, Deacon entered seminary in 2017 and was sent for college studies at Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon where he graduated with a double major in philosophy and literature. He did his post-graduate studies in theology at St. John’s Seminary in CA - the alma mater of St. Thomas the Apostle pastor, Fr. Crino!
Throughout his time in seminary when home on assignments, he was assigned to the Cathedral, Sts. Peter and Paul, St. Joseph’s, Our Lady of Fatima, and Our Mother of Sorrows in Tucson as well as St. Andrew’s in Sierra Vista and Sacred Heart in Nogales. For his first placement as a cleric, he was assigned to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.
